A signal you can find in the dust

BurnerSets is an independent place to find the music of the playa: who played, where, and the recording they left behind.

It started as Burning DJs, an iPhone guide to the sets published by sound camps and art cars during the burn. The archive grew out of the same question asked afterwards: where can I hear that set again? The name changed so the whole year fits under it. The iPhone app is still listed as Burning DJs while it becomes BurnerSets.

How the archive is built

• Every set is a recording its uploader identifies as played at Burning Man, posted by the artist, the camp or art car, or a named uploader.
• We link to the original upload on SoundCloud, YouTube or Mixcloud. BurnerSets doesn't host, copy or download any audio.
• Artist and camp names come from the recording's own title, uploader and description. Where a performer couldn't be identified with confidence, the set is left out rather than guessed.
• When the same recording appears in more than one place, it's listed once. Where it's on both SoundCloud and YouTube, both links are shown.
• Links are checked against each platform's own embed service before publishing. They were last checked on 24 September 2026. Recordings can be taken down at any time.

It isn't complete, and it never will be: plenty of real sets live elsewhere, and some years are thin. If you played a set, posted one, or see something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

BurnerSets is an independent music discovery and planning companion. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or produced by Burning Man Project, or by any camp, art car or artist listed here, and it doesn't cover official event programming.
