The short version: burnersets.com doesn't ask who you are and doesn't track you.

What we don't do

• No accounts, sign-ups or email lists.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and no cookies set by BurnerSets.
• We don't sell or share personal data, because we don't collect it.

What does happen

• Hosting. The site is served by Vercel, which, like any web host, processes standard request data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
• Artwork. Set artwork loads directly from SoundCloud, YouTube or Mixcloud image servers, so those services see a normal image request from your browser.
• Listening. "Listen" buttons take you to the recording on SoundCloud, YouTube or Mixcloud. Their own privacy policies apply once you're there.
• Your theme choice. If you switch between dark and daylight themes, that choice is stored in your browser so it sticks. It never leaves your device.

The iPhone app

This covers BurnerSets 2.0 and later (formerly Burning DJs). The app collects nothing: no account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. The policy for Burning DJs 1.x is at navigatetoyes.com/BurningDJs.

• The schedule. A plain request to burnersets.com for the published DJ lineups. No account, key or personal data is sent. The response is kept on your phone.
• The recordings list. A plain request to burnersets.com for the archive. A copy ships inside the app, and the latest one is kept on your phone.
• Artwork. Set artwork loads from SoundCloud, YouTube or Mixcloud image servers, which see a normal image request.
• App updates. The app checks Expo's update service (u.expo.dev, operated by 650 Industries, Inc.) for fixes to its own code. That request identifies the app version and platform and a random install identifier Expo uses to count update deliveries. It isn't analytics, and we never see it.
• Location is requested "While Using the App" only. It points the compass at the place you picked and shows the straight-line distance, including on the lock-screen Live Activity while the app is open. It never leaves your phone, and the app doesn't use location in the background. Decline it and everything else still works.
• On your phone the app keeps the schedule and recordings list, what you've saved, your compass target and your theme. Delete the app and it's all gone.
• Links to SoundCloud, YouTube, Mixcloud, Instagram and camp websites open in that app or your browser. Nothing about you is passed along, and their own policies apply there.

BurnerSets is a guide to nightlife at an adult event. It isn't directed at children and isn't intended for anyone under 13.
